Apple’s decision to start publishing the findings of its artificial intelligence researchers is already paying off. This is because, in addition to contributing to the studies of the area, Ma has now been awarded a prestigious conference.
Last year, Apple published its first article, entitled Learning from Simulated and Unsupervised Images through Adversarial Training (something like Learning from Simulated and Unsupervised Images through Adverse Event Training), which was developed jointly by Ashish Shrivastava, Tomas Pfister, Oncel Tuzel, Josh Susskind, Wenda Wang and Russ Webb.
Now, at the Conference on Computer Vision and Priesthood Recognition (Conference on Computer Vision & Pattern Recognition, or CVPR), Ma’s research received the award for best article among basically another 2,600 papers who were registered for the conference.
