Amid so many reforms and reopening of Apple Stores around the world, some countries are expected to receive their first flagships from Apple soon, like Mexico. This month, the Cupertino giant will open its second store in Taiwan and reopen the doors of one of its stores in Barcelona (Spain), as we will see below.
Mexico City
Scheduled to open its doors earlier this year, the first flagship (big street store) of Apple in Latin America should open only in September, after undergoing a major internal overhaul, as disclosed by AppleInsider.
In fact, this will be the second Apple store in Mexico, which until then had only one Retail Store in Cuajimalpa de Morelos (Apple VĂa Santa Fe), one of Mexico City’s districts.
The new store will be part of the Antara Fashion Hall complex, a high-end shopping center in the Mexican capital located between the Soumaya and Jumex museums; this means that the region attracts not only residents, but also a lot of tourists.
Like most flagships company, the thriving Apple Store in the Mexican capital will feature Apple’s new design and retail technology, including new product displays, a Video Wall and sessions of Today at Apple.
Taiwan
As we said, the second Apple store in Taiwan will open this month, more precisely next Saturday (6/15) at 10 am (local time), as reported by 9to5Mac.
The head of people and retail at Apple, Deirdre O’Brien, published a video on her Instagram celebrating the inauguration, which also appears on the new page of Apple Xinyi A13, which offers new wallpapers for the store’s Mac, iPad and iPhone.
The long-awaited Apple Store in the Xinyi district of Taipei was first revealed last month, when Apple installed large signs indicating the grand opening. The store’s name (Xinyi A13) refers to its location in the Taiwanese district, at the foot of a new eponymous shopping complex.
In addition to offering all services and assistance, the new Apple store will inaugurate a new collection of Today at Apple called “Stage for Creativity”, which will count on the participation of local creators (designers, illustrators, photographers and musicians) for six weeks.
Barcelona
Last January, we reported that Apple Passeig de GrĂ cia would temporarily close for renovations. After about four months of work, finally the flagship Catalan will see the sunlight again, on the 20th next.
Just like the renovation carried out last year, at Apple Covent Garden, in London (England), the renovation of Passeig de Grà cia focused on updating some elements of the historic old bank of Barcelona, maintaining the character of the building at the same time. that implements the new design of Apple stores.
Because of the reforms, since the end of April Apple has been holding sessions of Today at Apple in the premises of the Joan MirĂł Foundation art museum, which will certainly be held again at the company store after the reopening.
As for Apple Xinyi A13, Apple announced a new collection of sessions from its program to celebrate the re-opening called “Create your own adventures”, which will include a presentation by the director of the Joan Miró Foundation, Marko Daniel.
The doors of Apple Passeig de GrĂ cia will reopen at special time on 6/20, at 5 pm (local time).
