Apple's App Accelerator in India advises developers to focus on the local market

After almost four months since the App Accelerator opened in Bangalore, ndia, some of the developers who participated in the initiative told the Indian website about their experiences 360 Gadgets.

Aceleradora helps developers to improve the design, quality and performance of their iOS, tvOS, watchOS and macOS applications, in addition to introducing new APIs such as SiriKit, more recently. Sessions are two to four hours long and participants are visited weekly by Apple professionals so they can give feedbacks.

The experience at the App Accelerator was very good, Apple really wants Indian developers to be part of the global market. We are happy that she is doing this.

Alvin Varghese, founder of the Swift Developer Community in India.

During the conversation, one of the developers stated that, without the Accelerator, they normally take two years to be able to integrate with the new ones. frameworks; that is, before trying to implement, they need to wait for people to update iOS.

In addition, some councils appear to have had a significant impact on the participants. They said that experts encouraged developers to focus primarily on the local market, to be always up to date and to “pamper” in excellence. Mayur, a developer from Delhi, told what he heard from Apple:

What works in the US or elsewhere may not work here. Do not copy any applications. Try to think about your own project and the needs of your users. You can study other apps, but be original.

That kind of investment from Apple on top of the developers a masterstroke. This, by being able to help them quickly adapt to frameworks of the company and to implement improvements, certainly Ma will be able to attract a much larger audience of new entrepreneurs and also users for its products, which ends up being advantageous for both sides.

The "offer" quite attractive. Basically, anyone over 13 years old can sign up to participate * for free * in the program, as long as they get one of the 500 available places per week (it is necessary to create a developer account).

Apple has been very interested in India and, as we have been following lately, investing a lot in the country. With this program, Ma provides the Indians with an advantage and ends up managing, of course, to bring an entire country closer to them.
