Do you have Apple shares? So know that this year, the annual shareholders’ meeting of the company will happen on the day March 1st, as we can see in this document sent to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Just like last year, the event will take place at Steve Jobs Theater, auditorium located inside Apple Park (the company’s new headquarters in Cupertino, California). The meeting itself will start at 9 am local time.
Due to the limited number of seats in the auditorium, Apple is asking shareholders to register in advance. Registration will start on February 6, at 8 am (2 pm summer time), and can be made on this page.
It is worth noting that the registration date for the annual shareholders’ meeting is January 2, 2019. That is, if you sold your shares before that date, you will not be able to participate.
Last year, the meeting focused on routine matters such as reelection of the board of directors, executive compensation and more. Apple made some comments on topics including acquisitions, customer satisfaction and wearables. We will see if now, with all this controversy in the fall of sales of iPhones – and, consequently, in the company’s actions – the meeting will be quiet.
