According to information obtained by The Verge, Apple appears to have no interest in making the iMessage app available for Android.
The publication claims to have spoken to an Apple executive and he would have denied any development of the program for Googleās mobile platform.
In addition, the anonymous source claims that its exclusivity contributes to iOS sales:
āApple considers its own user base of 1 billion active devices to be a large enough data set for its artificial intelligence needs. And, second, having a messaging platform on Apple devices would help with the sales of those devices, āsaid the publication.
In fact, this has been Appleās justification for years for various products, which makes its services restricted and uncompetitive when compared to those multi-platform.
