Apple would have already started to increase the track limit in iTunes Match, as promised [atualizado 2x]

A few months ago, at the time of Apple Music's release, Eddy Cue, senior vice president of software and internet services, announced that Apple would increase the limit on tracks stored on the service iTunes Match from 25,000 to 100,000.

Apple presents iTunes Match as follows:

With iTunes Match, all your music can be stored on iCloud, even the ones you imported from CDs. You access it on all your devices and listen wherever you are. Subscribe to iTunes Match on your Mac, PC or iOS device and listen to radio whenever you want and without commercials.

As we explained in this article, Apple Music itself offers similar functionality but all of its tracks are DRM protected. In other words, for many people still valid to keep the annual subscription (of US $ 25) of iTunes Match active in parallel.

So far Apple has not commented on the increase in the limit, which should have occurred with the launch of iOS 9, but Kirk McElhearn said that some of his contacts are already managing to store more than 25,000 tracks through iTunes Match. That is, it is possible that Apple has already started the change for some users.

Having such a limit to spare is certainly very welcome, but I wonder how many users will actually take advantage of it (not least because everything you buy through the iTunes Store does not count towards the limit). Any a? 😉
