With references to the machine already found even in the last beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.1, it is not surprising that this news brought by DigiTimes: according to vehicle sources, Apple (through its partner Quanta Computer) has already started production of the long-awaited 16-inch MacBook Pro in China.
As we’re talking about a top-of-the-line laptop, which is expected to start at $ 3,000, its mass production doesn’t have to start as far in advance as it does with iPhones, for example. Therefore, it is possible to state that this new MBP could be announced later this month.
The expectation is that the new MBP will have a screen with smaller bezels (hence the increase from 15 to 16 inches), the return of the scissor mechanism to your keyboard (hallelujah!) And the traditional updates of internal components – such as state-of-the-art Intel processors .
The awaited news will certainly be welcome, but being «just» that – that is, not coming with a totally new design or with Face ID, for example – it is even understandable that the announcement can be made only by the website of Apple, without a special event for that.
