Apple is preparing a major update for the web app Photos at the iCloudin order to make it look pretty (not to say “identical”) with the native macOS Photos app.
Before and afterThe new interface is already available on the iCloud beta site and now features a side column (sidebar) concentrating all your albums that can be hidden using a cone in the upper left corner of the screen.
Now it is also possible to select (multiple) photos from this screen and use the action buttons located in the upper right corner to add them to albums, share, download or remove them.
Before and afterAnother very nice thing that, when opening a photo, the web app now has a lower navigation bar through thumbnails.
Overall, the new iCloud Photos already looks pretty round. It shouldn't be long before he leaves the beta and goes to the main channel.
