Apple will soon solve problems with HDDs of 7,200 revolutions per minute

As mentioned here on earlier, several users who chose to purchase MacBooks Pro with HDDs of 7,200 revolutions per minute reported small noises like “Beeps” and "Clicks" who had no apparent reason. Apparently, with the various complaints made with Genius Bars and the support forums, Apple realized the importance of the inconvenience.

Last Friday, a user was informed by a level 2 Apple support employee that she is "extremely" aware of the problem, and that the search for a solution is among the highest priorities. Unfortunately, the same person reported that as long as an update is not available, we will have to live with this problem.

According to an article published in the MacNN, the problem may be a hardware incompatibility of the platform with the HD Seagate Momentus 7200.4 G-Force, which is used on all models. It is possible that the problem is related to the disk protection system, since G-Force technology is not necessary in MacBooks Pro that already have shock protection.
