Apple today announced that it will release its financial results for the fiscal third quarter of 2020 (equivalent to the second quarter of the year) on July 30, a Thursday, at 6 pm Brasília time.
Again, due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19), Apple chose not to make any predictions regarding the figures for the third fiscal quarter of 2020 – who knows, in the next one, it will feel comfortable enough to present these figures again. Luca Maestri, CFO, limited himself to saying that the dollar has recently appreciated against most currencies in the world, and that for this reason they expect an impact on revenues of more than $ 1.5 billion.
As a reference, in the same period of 2019 Apple released revenue of $ 53.8 billion, a net profit of $ 10 billion and earnings per diluted share of $ 2.18. It is very likely that, in the current scenario, the new numbers will be lower than these.
