Apple will donate to help fight Coronavirus

If you haven’t been hibernating for the past few days, you’ve most certainly heard of Coronavirus, a virus from the same family as SARS (severe acute respiratory syndromes, or severe acute respiratory syndrome) that arose in the city of Wuhan (China).

He has already caused 41 deaths and contaminated about 1,300 people – 177 of them are in serious condition. The country’s authorities are also monitoring another 1,072 suspected cases. So far, in addition to China (which has the highest number of confirmations of the disease), Australia, South Korea, the United States, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam have already identified and isolated Coronavirus patients. That is, the thing is spreading to the point that the Chinese government suspends all tourist trips that leave the country to try to contain the outbreak.

As always in these cases, Tim Cook went to Twitter to show their solidarity and inform that Apple will help:

As people in China and around the world celebrate the Lunar New Year, we send our love and support to the many affected by the Coronavirus. Apple will make a donation to terrestrial groups, helping to support all those affected.

The amount of the aid has not been reported, but it is good to see companies like Apple moving to help in situations like this.
