Apple Watch Series 2 also sees stocks drop significantly after pre-sales start

Surprise, surprise: the pre-sale period of Apple Watch Series 2 and all the other watch-related news announced on the keynote, such as the Apple Watch Nike +, the new Herms and the Series 1 was a success.

Started at midnight in the American West Coast time (4 am in the morning in Brasilia) on Apple's official websites in 27 countries and in the Apple Store app, pre-order orders sold out a good part of the models of the new smartwatch and put several of them with a longer delivery period.

The countries that will first be awarded the Series 2, with the first deliveries and availability in physical stores already on September 16 (next Friday), are: Germany, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark , United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.

Apple Watch Edition

In the United States, most models of the Series 2 in a few hours had their delivery time extended to 2 to 3 weeks. The new (and extremely sexy) ceramic Apple Watch Edition is one of these sold out versions, as well as most entry models with an aluminum case. It is still possible to find some versions of the stainless steel model, but stocks are falling rapidly.

Apple Watch Series 1, with the new S1P processor (dual-core), it still finds good stock levels and several models can be ordered with immediate availability from the day of launch. On the other side of the Atlantic, in Portuguese lands, the situation is similar: many models of the Series 2 with extended delivery time, and most of the Series 1 are available.

If you are in any of the countries mentioned above with Apple physical stores on the 16th (and you have not yet guaranteed the Apple Watch Series 2 of interest), you can take the risk by going there to pick up your model in person. However, it will not be an easy task, I guarantee: availability will be based on a first-come, first-served basis and, apparently, the stocks directed to physical stores will not be abundant.

Apple Watch Charger

In a related public utility note, Apple has already tried to warn its customers that the Apple Watch's magnetic charging cable included in the watch case will change. The 2 meter model that was traditionally offered comes out and the smaller 1 meter version comes in. The change applies to both the Series 2 and the updated Series 1.

The 2-meter cable continues to be sold in stores for R $ 279 (or US $ 39 in the American store), but whoever needs the extra length will now have to pay that amount.

Another “novelty” (if we can call it that) is that the Series 1 * no * includes the 5W socket plug in the box, so that the Apple Watch can be recharged directly on the wall. That is, you will have to borrow your iPhone charger or spend an additional R $ 149 (US $ 19 in the USA) to purchase a new one.
