Apple Watch challenge for Valentine’s Day brings animated stickers [atualizado]

It had been a few months since the last challenge promoted by Apple for the Apple Watch health and wellness platform – disregarding the exclusive event for Apple employees, the last challenge for the general public was held last August. Now, it looks like we’ll have another one soon.

As the 9to5Mac, Apple will hold a special challenge for the Valentine’s Day between the days February 8 and 14 next. The rules for fulfilling it are very simple: just complete, for all the days of the challenge, the exercise ring of activity rings (which, by default, requires a minimum of 30 minutes of physical exercise per day, as explained here) .

The challenge is not free: in addition to February being the month of Valentine’s Day, is also considered the “heart month” by the American Heart Association – encouraging users to engage in more physical activities, so it is a good way to make more people strengthen their hearts.

Participants who successfully complete the challenge will earn a special badge in the Activity app on the iPhone and Apple Watch; the award also includes some animated stickers for iMessage / FaceTime with themes related to exercise, health and wellness.

Good luck to everyone! ??‍♂️

Apple said today that, because of the “Heart Month” celebration, it will also host health events at Apple Union Square (2/11; San Francisco), Apple Williamsburg (2/21; New York) and Apple Michigan Avenue (2/27; Chicago) to educate consumers about heart health and encourage them to stay active and live better.

Cardiovascular disease takes many forms and some are completely preventable through changes in lifestyle, such as increased physical activity and better nutrition. It is always good to see patients making these positive changes, especially with the help of the Apple Watch. Other conditions are more difficult to identify, such as AFib, and this is where we hope to help people access and understand heart health information through irregular pace notification and the ECG application.

Dr. Sumbul Desai, Apple’s vice president of health.

Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of fitness for health technologies, said that Apple Watch users are very motivated by the new activity sharing, challenge and monitoring options available on the watch. “We hope that this Activity Challenge and these heart health conversations will motivate more customers to make regular physical activity a part of their lives.”

The event in stores will discuss the theme “Heart Health with Apple” (“Heart Health with Apple”) and will feature Jeanette Jenkins (trainer fitness), Dr. Sumbul Desai, Nancy Brown (CEO of the American Heart Association), Jay Blahnik, Julz Arney and Craig Bolton (both on Apple’s fitness technology team). Those present participated in a discussion on heart health and could take a health and fitness walk (so that participants can take a quick walk with the Apple Watch in their community).
