Apple released updates to Java technology for the Tiger and Leopard operating systems. According to the company, Mac OS X 10.5 Update 2 aims to provide greater stability and compatibility for Java SE 6, J2SE 5.0 and J2SE 1.4.2 ยซfor MAC systems OS X 10.5.4 and higher.

The manufacturer also stresses that this update supports all Macs, whether Intel or PowerPC, and that Java SE 6 is only available for Macs with Intel 64-bit.

Updates to operating systems, which also correct some security flaws, are now available for download from the Apple website.
