Apple updates firmware for AirPods Pro and second generation AirPods

Apple updates AirPods Pro firmware to version 2D15

As it did a little more than a month ago, Apple today updated the AirPods Pro firmware – and also second generation model.

Until now, AirPods Pro were running under 2B588 firmware, while second generation AirPods were on 2A364. Now, both have been updated to 2C54.

What exactly has changed? There is no way to know, since Apple does not communicate anything about the update. In fact, the user doesn’t even know it exists, because everything is done automatically and completely silently – when you use the headphones and they connect to the iPhone / iPad, the update is done.

Still, it is possible that the update has improved the connectivity of the headphones or corrected a problem on a smaller scale.

To see if you are running the latest build, go to Settings »General» About, scroll down, touch “AirPods Pro” and see the firmware version.
