Months after releasing the 2C54 update for AirPods Pro and take it off the air after reports that it would have affected its Active Noise Canceling system, it finally looks like we have a new version in the area.
THE MacRumors reported earlier that Apple is now releasing the firmware 2D15 for AirPods Pro owners, and again we’re not sure what it’s new / corrected for.
Most likely, we can expect improvements in these basic features of the headphones, as well as general improvements in connectivity.
You can check the firmware version of your AirPods at Settings »General» About »AirPods; they need to be paired with the iPhone in order to view this information.
You or are probably running the “problematic” (quotes right here, because I’m in it and I didn’t have any problems) 2C54, which was removed from the air, or the one before it, which was 2B588.
The new version of the firmware is also important because, as we reported, some users were receiving replacement AirPods with the 2D3 version, until then non-existent.
Now, with this update, everything should be back to normal for everyone.
If it is not yet in the latest version, the update is applied automatically and completely silently – when you use the headphones and they connect to the iPhone / iPad, the update will be done at some point.
