Apple TV + to have Gal Gadot series in the role of Hedy Lamarr and Martin Scorsese film

How about one more tour of the latest news from Apple TV +? Come on!

“Hedy Lamarr”

To begin with, Apple announced yet another original production for its streaming: the biographical miniseries “Hedy Lamarr”, about the actress and homonymous inventor who was once considered the most beautiful woman in the world – but did not have the same recognition in her prolific scientific career.

Gal Gadot and Hedy Lamarr

Gal Gadot (“Wonder Woman”) will star in the series as Lamarr and will also act as an executive producer; the screenwriter Sarah Treem (“House of Cards”) will write the eight episodes of the production. The children of Lamarr, Anthony Loder and Denise Deluca, will be consultants in the series.

Apple describes “Hedy Lamarr” as follows:

Regarded as “the most beautiful woman in the world”, Hedy Lamarr was first exalted and iconized, then destroyed and later forgotten by the American public; in the midst of all this, he kept his brilliant mind active by developing a series of inventions – one of which became the basis of the spectral spreading technology we use today. The series will follow the incredible life story of the glamorous Hollywood girl, covering 30 years of Hedy’s life from his audacious escape from pre-war Vienna, through his meteoric rise in the Golden Age of Hollywood and reaching his fall and disgrace in the early years of the Cold War. An epic tale about an immigrant woman far ahead of her time – and at the same time, a victim of herself.

There is still no information about filming or preview date, but we will keep an eye out – on paper, after all, the whole thing is very interesting. It remains rooted for the promise to be fulfilled.

Martin Scorsese

Meanwhile, we are back to talking about the fierce dispute between the Apple and the Netflix for the rights of the next film of Martin Scorsese, “Killers of the Flower Moon”. For the news, apparently, is great for Apple.

According to deadline, Apple has already closed (or is about to close) an agreement with Paramount Pictures, original film studio, to have the rights to the project. According to the report, the details are still being worked out, but the production will be promoted as “an original Apple film”; Paramount will only take care of distributing the title in theaters.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” is one of the most important productions currently under development in Hollywood: in addition to being directed by one of the greatest living filmmakers, the film stars Scorsese’s two most recognized collaborators, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.

Based on the eponymous journalistic book by David Grann, the film will take place in the early 1920s, in the state of Oklahoma (United States); the conflict will center on a wave of murders in a local indigenous tribe and the subsequent investigation of the crimes, involving the (then newborn) FBI. “Killers of the Flower Moon” will be Scorsese’s first western in more than 50 years of career.

The film, which has a screenplay by Eric Roth (“Forrest Gump”), will start shooting soon and will premiere in 2021. A must.
