Apple TV receives 2.0 update

After delaying the release of the update for Apple TV, the North American company ended up making available the software allowing device users in the United States to rent movies directly from the iTunes service, whether the content is in high definition or format standard.

Like this upgrade, users just have to click a button to rent movies from a catalog of more than 1,000 titles, 100 of which are in HD.

In addition to this capability, updating to hub in average Apple offers a redesigned interface, support for web browsing, music purchase and podcasts directly from the store online, HD Dolby 5.1 sound and access to photos on Flickr and the .Mac service.

This update weighs 200MB and, as usual, it has a guide available on the official Apple TV page so that nothing new is missed by users.

All new options are free for those who already own the device. For these customers just access the option «update / update software ‘for the update to be downloaded.

THE upgrade is also available for Portugal although, currently, the stock central equipment for sale on the canal online of Apple being non-existent and unable to access the online movie rental service.
