Apple to open clinics for its employees with “the best healthcare system in the world”

You see, that's different news: Apple opens health clinics (called AC Wellness) to serve its employees and their families, as told by CNBC.

Apple has even put up an official website for the initiative, where you can see a few details about Ma's plans.

AC Wellness

Coming in Spring 2018

AC Wellness is an independent medical practice dedicated to providing compassionate and effective health care to Apple's employee population.

AC Wellness Network believes that having reliable and accessible relationships with our patients, made possible by technology, promotes high quality care and a unique experience for the patient.

The clinics, as indicated on the page, will operate in Santa Clara County (20730 Valley Green Drive), where both campuses (Apple Park and Infinite Loop) are located. And from what appears on the list of jobs posted on LinkedIn, Glassdoor and elsewhere, there will also be a clinic on Ma's new campus, called Apple Park Wellness Center.

Several former Stanford Health Care employees have had their names linked to AC Wellness for at least five months on their LinkedIn profiles; this may mean that the company has been working on this for a long time. Even though there is no visible link on the employees' page, AC Wellness is described as a “subsidiary of Apple”. There are several job openings still open seeking doctors, nurses, clinical exercise coaches, behavioral health partners and more.

The promise is to deliver the “best health system in the world”, offering a “unique care experience” for employees and their dependents, seeking not only to treat them but to implement a program to prevent diseases and encourage healthy habits.

The idea behind the initiative does not end, of course. Sources said CNBC that Apple plans to use the clinics as well as a way to "test" its health products and services. As Ma's efforts to improve the health and quality of life of users have increased steadily, it will certainly be something that benefits not only employees, like all those who enjoy the company's products.

As we know, there are increasingly strong rumors that Ma would be working hard to implement non-invasive glucose monitoring on the Apple Watch among so many other initiatives. Perhaps, with the clinics, we will see more significant advances in a shorter period of time.
