Apple to invest more than $ 50 million in expanding its data center in Reno

In mid-2012, Apple announced a $ 1 billion investment in a new data center located in Rhine, in the State of Nevada (USA). Subsequently it even installed a large solar plant there and made a small expansion in the data center in itself.

Now, according to documents captured by the BuildZoom, Apple will invest more than $ 50 million in a new expansion of data center that occupy about 35,000 square meters. The call “Project Isabel” encompass a set of eight buildings (in addition to an administrative building), a parking garage and an area for energy generation.

That data center in Reno it includes Apple's online services / resources like iCloud, Siri, iMessage and FaceTime.
