During a Google conference in Tokyo, Eric Schmidt, Google’s chief executive, commented for the first time on Apple’s recent moves against Android makers, reported The Next Web blog.
According to the executive, Steve Jobs' company has struggled to bring innovation to the sector, which is why it would be attacking competitors to bring down its products, mainly the line of cell phones from HTC and Samsung.
The big news this past year has been the explosion of Google Android devices, and this means that our competitors are responding. As they do not respond with innovation, they are responding with lawsuits in Justice. We did nothing wrong, and these processes are only inspired by our success.
Schmidt also reiterated that Google will support HTC in its fight against Apple, stressing that it is confident of a victory.
