Apple stores will undergo major internal changes, including new motto and new positions

Apple called a meeting last weekend to reveal several changes in its stores. According to some sources in the MacRumors, these changes include new positions, different names for old vacancies, a new motto and a new layout for stores.

At first, three new positions were added to stores in the United States and the United Kingdom, but the changes are expected to extend to all retails around the world:

  • Pro (something like Professional): a new salesperson position, above Expert. These employees are considered to be the most knowledgeable about Apple products and services.
  • Creative Pro (something like Creative Professional): a learning position above the Creative. These employees are also considered to be the most knowledgeable about Apple products and services.
  • Technical Expert (something like Technical Expert): a completely new position for customer service, which is between the Technical Specialist (Technical Specialist) and the Genius. These employees will be able to provide mobile repairs a task previously limited to Genius , and to troubleshoot software and products such as Apple Watch and Apple TV. The position will help to reduce waiting time in the Genius Bar / Grove.

Some old job names have also been modified:

  • Red Zone Specialist (Red Zone Specialist) Specialist (Specialist)
  • Family Room Specialist (Family Room Specialist) Technical Specialist (Technical Specialist)
  • Business Specialist (Business Specialist) Business Expert (Business Expert)
  • Back-of-House Specialist (Back-of-House Specialist) Operations Specialist (Operations Specialist)
  • Inventory Specialist (Inventory Manager) Operations Pro (Operations Professional)

Along with the names, some locations within the stores have also had their nomenclatures changed. What was Back-of-House changes its name Backstage (something like Behind the Scenes), where the Inventory and Operations team work. J a Red Zone, which includes the sales floor, is now called Product Zone (something like Product Zone).

In the internal system there is also a motto for employees that was first introduced by Steve Jobs in order to encourage them. Although it seems forced, quite sincere and theoretically, no one other than those involved with the store should have access. Even so, the MacRumors published the updated version of this motto and we freely translated it:

The way stores are structured will also change and update to the same standard as new ones like Apple Union Square , which have the spaces The Avenue (The avenue), Genius Grove (Alameda Genius), The Forum (The Frum), The Plaza (The Praa) and The Boardroom (The Meeting Room).

Although there have been significant changes, the way in which stores operate may differ from country to country. This means that the changes may or may not apply fully to Brazil; still uncertain.
