Apple starts testing iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4, macOS Catalina 10.15.4, watchOS 6.2 and tvOS 13.4 [atualizado 6x]

VersĂ”es beta pĂșblicas do iOS 13, do iPadOS 13, do macOS Catalina 101.5 e do tvOS 13 - Apple Beta Software Program

Apple made available to all users, just over a week ago, iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.3, watchOS 6.1.2 and tvOS 13.3.1. Now, it’s time to start testing for upcoming operating system updates.

The company today released the first beta versions of iOS / iPadOS 13.4 (builds 17E5223h), from macOS Catalina 10.15.4 (19E224g), from watchOS 6.2 (17T5224g), from tvOS 13.4 (17L5225g) and also from Xcode 11.4 (11N111s).

For now, the new test versions are only available to developers, but very soon they will also have to paint in the Apple Beta Software Program.

For now obviously we don’t know what’s new / changed in these updates, but we will update this article as things get going. By the numbers, it is possible that we have noticeable news in the systems in addition to the traditional general improvements and bug fixes.

And, as expected, good news began to emerge:

As developer / hacker Steve Troughton-Smith noted, Apple is preparing for Xcode 11.4 support for universal apps for iOS + macOS – something requested by developers since the original presentation of the “Catalyst Project”.

When this happens, in practice it means that developers will be able to offer app packages for all platforms in a single purchase for users. Sensational!

In addition, we have in iOS / iPadOS 13.4 beta the return of the folder sharing whole via iCloud Drive:

Let’s see if, now, it is for real! ?

Update II 02/05/2020 at 16:05

More news seen by Rene Ritchie, of iMore:

In macOS, we will have the Communication Limits for Time of Use (a new feature that was recently launched on iOS / iPadOS), new call controls in CarPlay and some new types of stickers (stickers) of Memojis.

Still according to him, third-party navigation apps will also be able to show their maps on the CarPlay Dashboard in the new version – hallelujah! ?

Update III 02/05/2020 at 16:30

THE 9to5Mac noticed that Apple is finally going back on the change it made to the button bar on the Mail, widely criticized since the launch of iOS 13.

As you can see in the screenshot above, Mail on iOS 13.4 will again have four well-spaced buttons: delete, move to folder, mark (flag) and reply / forward. Oh yes!

In addition, the guys also found references to a supposed new API «CarKey», which may be able to use the iPhone (and perhaps the Apple Watch) as a car key via NFC.

Another new feature of iPadOS 13.4!

Hello, hardware key remap – does this look new on iPadOS 13.4?

In the future system, it will be possible to map the behavior of some keys, changing their native function – great for those who use an external keyboard with the iPad and love to have a fully personalized experience.

As mentioned above, one of the new features of macOS Catalina 10.15.4 beta is the possibility to control the pointer with your head instead of the mouse – a great accessibility option for those who have some motor difficulties.

Check out the demonstration made by Guilherme Rambo:

Cool, isn’t it?
