Apple simplifies things and doesn't charge anything for iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers and Keynote apps (for iOS and macOS)

A while ago, Apple decided to adopt the following policy: the old iLife apps (iMovie and GarageBand, which were complemented by the late iDVD) and the iWork suite (Pages, Numbers and Keynote) cost a few dollars each, but if you bought a new one iGadget or Mac, you could download them for free. Today, that has changed once and for all.

All apps, both for iOS and for macOS, are now free regardless of whether or not you bought a new phone, tablet or computer.

It is a small but good change. In addition to putting an end to a possible confusion regarding the prices of these apps (now the company only charges even for applications 100% aimed at the professional public, such as Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro X), it is still a pleasure for consumers . 😉
