Apple likes to hit the key that programming is very important, even if you don’t want to or don’t work with it directly.
For children, understanding the logic behind codes is even more important because the future is beyond doubt, after all, nobody knows which professions will emerge and which ones will disappear 10, 20 years from now. What Apple believes, however, is that logical thinking and understanding programming can make a difference in this regard, making our children more prepared.
This is the subject covered in the newest Apple video, entitled “Programming for Everyone”. In it, educators from several schools – apparently Apple’s partners – around the globe tell how their students benefit from learning programming, even if they don’t intend to be programmers.
To this end, schools make use of Apple’s free Programming for All training, in which “teachers and students learn to use the iPad and Swift Playgrounds in an easy and fun way ”.
It is worth noting that Swift Playgrounds recently arrived on macOS, opening up the possibility that this learning can also happen on Macs – in addition to iPads, as always.
