Apple says it may launch Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter [atualizado]

Although third-party manufacturers such as Kanex have already put Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters on the market, the specification page for the new MacBooks Pro hints that Apple may soon launch its own solution.

In the machine's native digital video output area, Apple lists the “new” adapter along with the traditional DVI, VGA and Dual-link DVI all available from the Apple Online Store.

Apple hasn't officially announced anything yet, but the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter is expected to cost $ 30 in the United States, just like the others.

Update

According to Ars Technica, Apple did not launch such an adapter, but confirmed that the Mini DisplayPort output of the new MacBooks Pro is capable of transmitting both video and audio on one cable.

Now, it makes a lot of sense to use an adapter like this from a third party by connecting the machine to an HDTV of life.
