For those who are thinking about purchasing this model, the good news is that repairs will be cheaper than those charged for services in iPhones XS and XS Max; on the other hand, they remain expensive.
It is important to note that the figures disclosed are in dollars and that the price charged here in Brazil will not necessarily be strictly based on the figures below (only converting to reais). For example, the general repair of the iPhone X costs, in the USA, US $ 550, which would be approximately R $ 2,200; however, the amount charged for the repair here reaches R $ 3,000.
With that in mind, the values for iPhone XR repairs are as follows:
- Screen Repair: $ 200;
- Other damages: $ 400.
Out of warranty, repairs involving the battery cost $ 70 for the XS, XS Max and XR iPhones.
For comparison, the value for the iPhone XS screen repair of $ 280 it's from $ 330 for the XS Max. Other damages are charged $ 550 and $ 600, respectively. As a result, the price of the repair services charged by the iPhone XR under warranty was much closer to those charged for the iPhone 8 Plus.
of course, for customers of AppleCare +, battery replacement is carried out free of charge. For other repairs, the amounts charged are lower: the fee charged for repairs to the $ 30 and other damages are repaired by $ 100.
