Apple rents new offices near Madison Square Garden in New York

Just over a month ago, it was just a rumor. Now, it looks like it’s official.

THE New York Post reported yesterday that Apple has just signed a lease nearly 20,500 square meters of offices at the 11 Penn Plaza, commercial building very close to Madison Square Garden (Manhattan, New York).

The initial agreement – signed with Vornado Realty Trust, owner of the space – would have a duration of five years, which obviously can be renewed at the interest of both parties.

Apple will occupy four floors of the building, from 11th to 14th, which were once used by Macy’s (whose headquarters are now in Long Island City).

The “Penn 11” building, as it is known today, was built in 1923 and follows a style art deco.
