In a somewhat weird attitude, Apple silently removed the consumer reviews / notes section online stores around the world.
The section was not particularly prominent on product pages, but it obviously contained personal ratings that could often help consumers decide whether to purchase certain items – both for and against, of course.
According to AppleInsider, the change apparently occurred last weekend, which indicates that it is not a temporary bug or something.
One of the speculations is that Apple wants to prevent its own website from being a source of references to negative product reviews, commonly highlighted, for example, by YouTubers. But it is somewhat strange only now that she has decided to take action, since it has been happening for years.
We’ll see if Apple has a say on the case.
