Apple releases the first beta versions of OS X El Capitan, iOS 9 and watchOS 2 for developers

If you are a developer (OS X, iOS and / or watchOS), know that the new beta versions of the operating systems are now available for download through the renewed Apple developer portal.

First beta of OS X El Capitan

O OS X 10.11 (build 15A178w) minimally requires a Mac with an Intel 64-bit processor with OS X 10.6.7 (Snow Leopard) installed and 8GB of disk space. Along with it, Apple also released the OS X Server 5.0 beta (build 15S2126s) and the Apple Configurator 2.0 beta.

It is worth noting that the system brings a huge list of known problems but you, as a developer, must know that any version 1.0 is like that. So be very careful at that time!

First beta of iOS 9

O iOS 9 beta (build 13A4254v) also brings many known problems and is compatible with the following devices:

  • iPads: 2, 3 and 4 generations, Air, Air 2, mini, mini 2 and mini 3
  • iPhones: 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus
  • iPod touch: fifth generation

Remember that once installed, there is no possibility to return to iOS 8!

WatchOS 2 first beta

J o watchOS 2 requires that the developer's iPhone is running iOS 9 beta. After that, it is possible to install the configuration profile of the new operating system of the Apple watch.

First beta of Xcode 7

Finally, we have the Xcode 7 beta (build 7A120f), which obviously brings the SDKs (software development kits, or software development kits) for OS X 10.11 beta and iOS 9 beta.
