Apple releases iOS 13.4.1 and iPadOS 13.4.1, fixing FaceTime flaw

iOS 13

People thought it was weird when, a week ago, Apple started beta testing of iOS 13.4.5. And the explanation for that came today.

Just out for all users of compatible devices the iOS 13.4.1 it’s the iPadOS 13.4.1, both with build 17E262.

The update includes some bugfixes, the main one being a FaceTime bug that we recently covered here on the site:

  • Corrects an issue where devices with iOS / iPadOS 13.4 could not participate in FaceTime connections with devices with iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or with OS X EI Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier;
  • Addresses an error with the Settings app in which the choice of Bluetooth from the quick actions menu on the Home screen failed.

On iPads, the update also fixes a bug that could prevent the flashlight from turning on on 12.9-inch (4th generation) and 11-inch (2nd generation) iPads via the respective button on the locked screen or in the Control Center.
