Apple releases first update to the Watch system, adding support for Brazilian Portuguese [atualizado 2x]

Apple today released the first update for the Watch OS.

Watch OS 1.0.1

The verse 1.0.1 includes performance improvements for:

  • Crab
  • Average activity in p
  • Calorie calculation for indoor cycling and rowing
  • Distance and pace during walking and running exercises outdoors
  • Accessibility
  • Third-party applications

In addition, the new version brings compatibility with the new Emojis and with the following languages: Portuguese from Brazil, Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Thai and Turkish.

If you already have a watch, updating is very simple. Just open the Apple Watch app, choose the “My Watch” tab and go to General Software Update.

Now that we've updated ours, some more information.

To update it is necessary to connect the watch to the charger and have at least 50% battery. After the update, obviously the language does not change automatically. So you must necessarily choose the Portuguese of Brazil in the Apple Watch app on the iPhone, going to General Language and Region.

Siri in Portuguese on Apple Watch

If the Crab is configured on your iPhone for Brazilian Portuguese, it will automatically work on Watch. To activate it, just press the button of the Digital Crown for a few seconds or say “E to Siri” with the awakened clock.
