The problem of defective Time Capsules has now become so large and comprehensive that it has become a laughing stock. Now, happily and finally, Apple announced a recall for affected models sold between February and June 2008, with serial numbers XX807XXXXXX to XX814XXXXXX.
According to the company, the affected units may malfunction or simply not turn on after a certain period of use.
Users with Time Capsules that fit Apple's description should contact the nearest authorized technical assistance in order to exchange / repair the product for free, of course.
