Mysterious problem hits Macs Pro running Avid software; solution is on its way

Apple quietly launches a repair program for certain Macs with video issues

Quietly, Apple launched a new repair program for owners of Macs Pro manufactured between February 8 and April 11, 2015, just over two months only.

According to MacRumors, some machines may have faulty graphics cards causing video problems in some cases mere instability, in others more extreme even preventing the system from booting.

Affected Pro Mac owners should refer their graphics card replacement machines to an Apple Retail Store or an Authorized Service Center, a process that can take up to 3-5 days. The program is valid until May 30, 2018.
