Apple plans to open office for 500 employees in downtown San Francisco

Apple has for years preferred to focus its employees on the Cupertino region and its surroundings, further south of Silicon Valley. But it seems that she is now determined to make this a bit more flexible and plans to open a new office for around 500 employees at the San Francisco.

According to the Reuters, Apple would have already rented a 7,000 square meter space in the South of Market neighborhood, occupying two floors of a building on 235 Second St.

Some of startups recently acquired by Apple already had their bases in SFO, so it is possible that this new office is to concentrate the various operations / subsidiaries of the company in one place. But the space will also be beneficial for countless employees who live there and will no longer need to travel a long way every day to work. The giant Google is another that also has offices in the city, for similar reasons.

The expectation is that the new office whose information originally appeared in the middle of last year will start operating until the end of summer in the northern hemisphere (our winter).
