They thought that news related to iOS 14 had they already run out? Because they found it wrong: the 9to5Mac discovered today, sifting through the files of the second beta version of the system, a (probable) future functionality for the Apple Pay which should represent a hand in the wheel for users.
A hidden feature in the Wallet app indicates that Apple is testing a way to allow QR Code payments – or traditional bar codes – by Apple Pay.
In other words, a merchant (or even a user) could generate a code with the pre-programmed payment amount; the customer / contact would simply scan the code with the iPhone / iPad camera and make the payment instantly.
THE 9to5Mac discovered a screen already explaining how the feature works, but it still doesn’t actually work – which shows that Apple is still working on the thing and, therefore, it will not necessarily arrive in the first final version of iOS 14. feature was found in a public API, which indicates that it can be integrated with third party applications.
Arriving sooner or later, the appeal will be most welcome.
We hope, however, that it will be released to the whole world, and not just in selected territories.
