Apple Pay may be launched in Brazil in the first week of April

Not new to anyone, at least for those who follow the Apple world a little more closely than the Apple Pay be launched on Brazil coming soon. The statement came out of the company's CEO's mouth at the company's last financial conference, which took place on February 1.

Since then, obviously, a wave of speculation has started, after all, the service that has been long awaited by us, Brazilians and Apple users, for a long time.

Updating the Network's machines

Recently, the reader Jos Carlos Pardal sent us the image above. In it, we see a statement from the Network stating that its machines will undergo an update in order to offer "the most modern technology and new features in accepting cards". Speech matches perfectly, doesn't it?

To complete, see the tweet that we received just now:

Apparently, some machines are already ready to receive payments made by Ma's system, as we can see in the image above.

But when, then, will Apple Pay be launched?

A few days ago, a matter from the 9to5Mac suggested that Apple Pay could reach the Netherlands on March 20 (Tuesday of next week). That was enough for many to stick to “optimism”, of course the arrival of the service here on the same day. But, according to sources from the , it will not be the case.

As we hear, Apple's mobile payment service will be launched in Brazil in early April, more specifically in the first week (sometime between days 1 and 8). Although no specific date has been provided, indications lead us to believe that the launch occurs on the day April 4 (a Wednesday). However, it doesn't hurt to make it clear: * any * day of that first week could be elected by Apple.

Apple Pay - Itaucard

Another point confirmed by sources and already addressed by us is the fact that Banco Ita have the exclusivity of the service. This partnership between Apple and Ita, however, will last for 90 days. We don’t know for sure which banks and credit card issuers will play after the first three months, however, we hope that at least all major players will embark on this, as well as other card brands besides Visa and Mastercard (like American Express, Elo, etc.).

Everything can change? Always, even more because we have not received a specific date information. Still, everything leads us to believe that Apple Pay will arrive in Brazil in the first week of April. There is little left! 😉
