We have good news involving the Apple Pay for Serbs, Portuguese and Americans – or, of course, if you are Brazilian and live in Serbia, in Portugal or us United States. ?
Let’s get to the news!
Apple’s payment service landed in Serbia this week.
There, the banks that offer support are ProCredit and Raiffeisen – using banner credit cards MasterCard.
Our Portuguese friends will soon gain another bank option with Apple Pay support: this is the Santander, who made the official announcement on their social networks.
There is no exact date yet set, but we know that when an Apple partner makes such an announcement, it is because things are practically finished and that everything will be launched very soon.
Currently, the following banks / financial institutions are compatible with Apple Pay in Portugal: ActivoBank, Bunq, Crédito Agrícola, iCard, moey !, Monese, N26, Openbank, Revolut, TransferWise and Millenniumbcp – in addition to Fnac and Curve cards.
Finally, we have three news related to the Apple Card In the USA.
Apple Card on the web
The first is that, now, users have the option of accessing card information through a web portal – before, any type of interaction had to be done by the iPhone.
In practice, this means that card customers can view their statements, pay their invoices (with scheduling rights) and access contact links for card support over the web. The novelty is good both for those who prefer to solve these things by computer and for those who have lost their iPhone and need to access such card features in some way.
Cashback from $ 50
Another novelty of the Apple Card: the Apple is giving a cashback from $ 50 for new users who use the card to pay for any company service (Apple Music, Apple TV +, App Arcade, etc.) or even a simple purchase on the App Store.
According to Apple, the value will be provided as cashback after qualifying purchase; the offer, however, is only valid for new customers who join the card this July.
For the fifth month in a row, Apple and Goldman Sachs bank extended the Customer Assistance Program, that allows postpone payment of the card bill.
Once again, customers will be able to postpone payment of their invoice for a few weeks or months, without charging fees or fines that would normally be applied in situations like this – all, of course, due to the pandemic of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19) .
