Apple allows you to register different cards to make payments through Apple Pay. If you have more than one option in your wallet, you can choose the default card, which Apple will use as a priority when making transactions. This way you can arrange payments to avoid making purchases with the wrong card.
Here's how to change your main Apple Pay card on iPhone (iOS). The procedure can be done in two ways, through Adjustments or through the Wallet application, and works with any registered card, either debit or credit.

Step 1. Open the Settings app and select the Wallet and Apple Pay option;

Step 2. Go to Standard Card option and choose the desired main card. It will be flagged with a symbol.

Open the Wallet app and view your cards. Press and drag the desired card in front of all the others. Confirm by tapping Ok on the balloon that appears on the screen.
