Apple Pay continues its slow international expansion, starting with Japan [atualizado]

Last July, Apple took its mobile payment system to Switzerland, France and Hong Kong. In today's keynote earlier, the company confirmed which will be the 10 country to receive it: the Japan.

With the release of iOS 10.1 and watchOS 3.1, today, Apple Pay officially landed on Japan. As we said, it uses FeliCa technology on iPhones 7/7 Plus and Apple Watches Series 2.

Initially, Apple Pay in the country already supports credit / debit cards issued by American Express, Mastercard, JCB, iD, QUICPay, AEON, Credit Saison, JCB, Mitsubishi UFJ Nicos, Orient Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Card, Toyota Finance, UC Cards and View Card.
