The mid-range model offers 2.0 GHz, keeping the 60GB disk and going for a price starting at $ 1,299. In the top-of-the-range version, Apple maintains the speed at 2.0GHz but increases the hard disk capacity to 80GB. This model is available from $ 1,499 and is only manufactured in black, unlike the rest that are sold in white.

The three notebooks include a built-in camcorder, the iLife 06 multimedia suite, integrated Intel graphics, DVD-ROM / CD-RW drive and wireless connectivity via AirPort Extreme Wireless. According to Apple, the new models are 20 percent thinner than predecessors iBooks and have a screen 72 percent brighter than iBooks and PowerBook.

The American manufacturer also announced a upgrade processor for the 15-inch MacBook Pro line, which will allow you to move from a 2GHz chip to 2.16GHz, in the $ 2,499 model. In the $ 1,999 model, the CPU upgrade converts the chip from 1.83GHz to 2.0GHz.
