Apple now has an official TikTok account [atualizado]

Communicating with young people is one of the most difficult things to do these days – when you think you’re on the crest of the wave, they’ve gone to the next social network and updated their entire vocabulary. But Apple, of course, has to try.

In a movement somewhat analogous to this meme, the Cupertino giant recently entered the TikTok, the social video network that is the latest fever among the under-20 audience. The Apple already has a verified account there (and more than 13 thousand followers obtained in a few days), but has not yet published any content on the network.

Obviously, Apple’s arrival at TikTok is hardly a surprise: Apple has seriously expanded its presence on social networks in recent years, creating accounts on Instagram, YouTube and Twitter – and even establishing “sub-accounts” for certain arms of its own. services such as Apple Music or the company’s support area.

Still, there is an expectation to know how the Apple will take advantage of the space at TikTok. The network, as we know, is known for its humorous content non-sense, well to the taste of millenials; Apple, on the other hand, can be associated with many things, but humor is not quite one of them (no, Craig Federighi’s uncle jokes don’t count).

So it will be interesting to see how this new marketing venture will unfold.

This went unnoticed by everyone, but our reader Willian Max noticed that Apple already had at least two accounts verified on TikTok: one for Apple Music (already with some content) and another for Apple TV (this one, without any publication).

What a thing …
