Last November, the Apple Music launched its own platform to create a retrospective of the year. Called Apple Music Replay, we are talking about a web app (in testing phase) that generates a playlist based on the songs you heard most; now, Apple service subscribers can already see (and hear) the most played in 2020.
More precisely, Apple Music Replay uses your playback history to calculate the top songs, albums and artists listened to throughout the year. The feature also uses several other factors to determine what you heard that year – except on devices where the “Use History” option (Settings »Music» Use History) is disabled.
Apple Music Replay generally generates a playlist with the 100 most heard songs. However, as we are only in the beginning of 2020, it is likely that this year will have less than that (since this list will be constantly updated until December 31).
With Apple Music Replay, you can relive the music that defined your year. Get information on your most played artists and albums, plus a playlist with the top songs of the year – and one for each year since you signed up for Apple Music.
To see your most played songs in 2020 (as well as in previous years), you must have an active Apple Music subscription and access the Apple Music Replay web app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac. Then, log in with your Apple ID and tap / click “Get Your Replay Mix”.
