Apple Music reorganizes “Explore” tab and highlights more content

The Apple is remotely releasing an update for the Apple Music which alters some characteristics of the “Explore” tab – more precisely in the “New music” section – both on iOS and macOS.

Previously, the tab for viewing music, playlists and more recent albums were organized from a single carousel at the top with the content highlighted, followed by lists of genres / contents in hierarchies – creating a series of steps for the user to get to exactly what matters: the songs.

The new design helps you get to songs on a list even faster and highlights new curated content, including playlists themes such as “Warrior of the weekend”, “Music by atmosphere”, “Visionary women” (in celebration of women’s month) and recently updated lists.

Now, in the central tab of the section “New songs”, it is also possible to access the “Top 100 of the day” lists from the world and from different countries. In addition, it is possible to view a larger number of playlists recently updated, making it easier for users to access what’s new.

The boxes “Featured tracks” and “New songs” have not been changed, but have been further down the screen view. Navigation links by genres, atmospheres, top charts and video clips have been added to the “More to explore” section.

Finally, there are a number of new sections with playlists Apple Music, like “We love it” and “Sextou” (which should change every day of the week). Below that, the recordings of the Beats 1 programs and the songs that will be released soon are displayed.
