Apple Music Radio

Here is the email (translated by us):

As a radio listener on Apple Music, there are some important changes coming that we want you to know about. As of January 28, all radio stations, except Beats 1, will be available exclusively to Apple Music members. You will continue to receive the best music and culture at Beats 1 with world-class DJs like Zane Lowe and special programs by artists like Dr. Dre, Drake, Pharrell Williams and more.

In addition, with an Apple Music subscription, you will be able to access dozens of radio stations created by our team of music experts, with unlimited options to skip tracks. Or you can create your own stations based on your favorite songs and artists. Start your Apple Music subscription now to enjoy unlimited access to everything the radio offers, along with the entire Apple Music catalog.

For us Brazilians and our Portuguese brothers absolutely nothing changes, because these stations that were part of the old iTunes Radio they were already exclusive to subscribers. In the United States and Australia, however, Apple still made radio available to users even though they were not Apple Music subscribers, thanks to advertising.

Most likely due to the changes involving iAd, Apple decided to end this differential and match the offer involving music worldwide.

As planned, the former iTunes Radio stations are now available only to Apple Music subscribers. Only Beats 1 remains open for everyone, for free.
