Apple moves forward with multiple updates to Leopard

Apple has released several updates for Mac OS X. The update latest updates 11 components of the operating system, including eight updates detected in the recent Mac OS X 10.5, known as Leopard.

The updates, which include bug fixes and technical improvements, were released in conjunction with the update 10.5.2 for the aforementioned Leopard, where more updates are included.

Some of the vulnerabilities to be fixed with this pack considered critical and can leave equipment vulnerable to attack by hackers, allowing remote control of compromised computers and installation of software malicious.

The patches go to Safari, Mail, Launch Services, MaC OS Directory Services, Open Directory and parental controls. There are still patches for various Unix components distributed with the software Apple, including for a supposedly fixed bug in the software Samba.
