Apple may launch new guided training app on iOS 14

According to the leaked information released by the MacRumors about possible news from the iOS 14, Apple may launch a new fitness app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple TV, which apparently would have been designed for users to download guided workout videos.

The app, which is codenamed «Seymour», may be called «Fit» or «Fitness» when it becomes official. Still according to the MR, Apple should launch it as a standalone app, which will work in conjunction with the existing Activity (Activity).

The app’s interface also appears to be quite simple: it would be possible to download videos that cover a variety of options / activities, including guidance on how to complete these exercises. Although it is possible to start / pause the content on the Apple Watch, it is very likely that it will be necessary to use the iPhone or Apple TV to play the videos, considering the size of the watch display.

Some of the guided trainings that may be included in the app in the future (if it is actually released) are cycling, gym exercises, dance, yoga and indoor running. According to MR, the app doesn’t seem to include any form of internal monetization, whether it’s subscription or some purchase to unlock the videos.

As highlighted by them, although Apple appears to be working on these features for the next major iOS update, expected in the second half of this year, there is no definite guarantee that this functionality will, in fact, reach the final versions of iOS 14, from watchOS 7 and tvOS 14. We will follow. ?
