Apple may launch eighth-generation iPad with A12 chip this year

According to a leaker anonymous (@ L0vetodream), Apple will launch a 8th generation iPad this year, which would be equipped with the chip A12 Bionic.

In a way, this rumor is in line with what the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said yesterday (14/5) about Apple to be working on two new models ‌iPad‌, one of 10.8 inches and another (mini) with display between 8.5 and 9 inches.

In my dream: iPad 2020 with A12 chip

Yes the leaker has at least an “exotic” way to spread rumors – but he has a good recent record when it comes to leaks, so …

Back to the point, it is reasonable to wait for a new entry-level iPad this year, as the tablet has been updated annually for at least three generations.

It is worth remembering that the seventh generation iPad, presented in September last year, gained a larger screen of 10.2 inches and support for new accessories; however, it has the same A10 Fusion chip (from 2017) as the previous model – so Apple now has a good case for updating it. We’ll see!
