Apple may launch 23 ″ iMac and 10.8 ″ iPad Air in the second half

Except for some (almost) certainties, Apple's launch schedule for the second semester is still largely unknown: we had rumors here and there mentioning new iPads, AirPods and Apple Watches, but no "confirmation". Because the most recent report DigiTimes arrived to put even more questions in our heads.

The site brought news about two possible updates that Ma will present in the second half of 2020: a 23-inch iMac (which would replace the current model, 21.5 ″) and a 10.8-inch iPad Air (replacement of the current model, 10.5 ″).

And that's not all: according to sources heard by the report, Ma will present a new iPad mini with Mini-LED screen between 8 and 9 inches (currently only 7.9 ″) and a new line of Pro iPads, also with Mini-LED panels. These products, however, are expected to remain in the first half of 2021, as recently stated by Ming-Chi Kuo.

If the above rumors sound familiar, because they have been out before: in April, the China Times announced that Apple would launch a new iMac, just 23 ″, and a new model in the specified iPad 11 ″ (which could be the 10.8 ″, rounded) in the second half. at that time, the information was corroborated by the Japanese blog Macotakara.

At the same time, the report of the DigiTimes “Talk” with some recent rumors we’ve heard about the iMac: earlier in the week, the leaker Sonny Dickson said that Apple would present a new version of the all-in-one, with design inspired by the iPad Pro, at WWDC20.

The event's opening keynote will take place on the 22nd. This makes it absolutely possible for Apple to launch the supposed new iMac sometime in July (which is already the second half of the year, after all) or even make an earlier announcement, launching the product only around August / September.

On the other hand, while the rumors brought by the DigiTimes refer specifically to a new 23 ″ iMac, the computer model that appears to be with the largest imminent update, the 27 ″ he, as we noted, that has reduced inventories globally in Apple's online stores.

In other words, in the end, we will have to wait a few more weeks (or months) to know what, in fact, awaits us. What do you expect?
