Apple makes watchOS 6.1.3 and 5.3.5 available to all Watch owners

Apple has just released updates to all Apple Watch owners unexpectedly.

THE watchOS 6.1.3 (build 17S811) and the watchOS 5.3.5 (16U652) are available to everyone and bring, according to Apple, «improvements and bug fixes, including a fix for an issue that prevented irregular heart rate notification from working as expected for Apple Watch users in Iceland.»

Version 5.3.5, it is worth remembering, is still mainly available due to the fact that there are many Apple Watches in use that are paired with iPhones incompatible with iOS 13 – which is required for the installation of watchOS 6.

The only exception currently for receiving software updates are the first generation Apple Watches (“Series 0”), which stopped at watchOS 4.3.2.

In parallel to this, the update for watchOS 6.2 continues to be tested. This should only be released to everyone in March.
